In our opinion, the developers of the new World Trade Center have done a marvelous job creating a 21st Century masterpiece that sensitively blends both respectful remembrance and functional space. The latest example is that of the Oculus. The Oculus, meaning "eye," represents a white dove rising from this sight where more than 2,500 innocent victims where killed on September 11, 2001. Its functional purpose is that of a skylight, letting sunlight shine down into the transportation hub below the World Trade courtyard. Congrats to Santiago Calatrava the Spanish architect, structural engineer, sculptor and painter responsible for this outstanding greater than life-size piece of art.

We offer a 5-hour comprehensive Private World Trade Center Tour and would love to take you there. Please click on the link above for more information.
